So what is Co-Starter?

Philosophy: To be run by musicians and fans of original music as a means to get and promote shows on the NW coast. Co-Starter is non-profit and will happily accept as much assistance as anyone cares to give.

We need a core-group of people to book gigs and select bands to play, we also need as many hands on deck to help out in 'street teams'. Please put your hand up to volunteer handing a few fliers out and spreading word of mouth. A healthy music scene starts with you.

What does Co-Starter mean:

Co-Starter is a play on words, incorporating 'Coast' - the NW coast of Tassie. And 'art', art suggests that the music that we put on is strong in originality and artistic integrity. Cover bands that play regularly in the pubs can claim to be good performers and entertainers, but unless they are creating (writing) their own work, they can not claim to be an artist to the same degree as a songwriter is. Big thumbs up to original artist - keep it original, keep it real.
